The article presents the specifics of problem-based learning technology. The key features of the given educational technology are presented. The article defines the peculiarities of discussion as the main form of problem-based learning. The importance of the meetings of the Discussion club “Young economist” at ISEDT RAS Research and Educational Centre is revealed. The methodological justifications of the given activity are suggested. Recommendations for the improvement of the Discussion club organization level are given
