The topic of globalization is currently being discussed in the media and in the scientific community. Most researchers pay attention to the impact of global processes at the macro level. No less relevant is the study of globalization processes at the level of local territorial communities. On the one hand, they may lose their uniqueness, merge with other communities, or, on the contrary, the community members may try to “close” their residence territory from external influences. The scientific novelty of the study is to consider the impact of global processes at the meso-level, an intermediate level between the individual and society as a whole. Studying the local territorial community inhabitants’ representations about globalization, how global processes transform their daily life and life of people around, allows to estimate the stability of people’s social associations which influences directly on the process of reproduction of a local territorial community. The aim of the research is to study the influence of global processes on the changes occurring in the process of local territorial community reproduction. Based on a series of poorly formalized interviews, it was concluded that there is a specific subculture in the community that distinguishes its inhabitants from the inhabitants of other settlements. This community still retains its isolation and integrity. Most of the negative consequences of globalization, according to the study participants, are contradictory and take place at the level of society and the world as a whole. Global processes rather have a positive impact on respondents' daily lives and work: facilitating cooperation with international companies and communication with people from other countries. The impact of globalization on the life of the community as a whole is insignificant. The community is retaining its unique features, having a specificity that is felt by everyone who lives and works here
