The increasing human pressure on the environment is a persistent phenomenon that accompanies industrial expansion and makes it necessity to identify and develop new analytical measures capable of diagnosing environmental issues and determining strategies for their resolution. Conditions of the green economy shaped the author’s interest. This interest is formulated in the form of aim, associated with designing of means for assessing green development of industrial complex, which would be used to detail directions of production indicators reduction that violate the ecological environment, with a significant increase in economic development. Scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that proposed methodological framework takes into account dynamic features of economic and environmental changes. It includes a methodology for analyzing environmental profile orientation of industrial complex and for assessing decoupling effects in industrial development, determines sustainable development path for industrial complex in the region. Theoretical and methodological basis of research is formed by works in the field of sustainable industrial development and development of green economy. Research employed correlation analysis, calculation of integral indicators, reflecting the key features of environmental profile of industrial complex; calculation of decoupling effects. Testing of author’s framework enabled identification of significant dominant factors, influencing environmental and production development of industrial enterprises, as well as identification of sustainable development paths. Research results can be used by federal and regional specialized agencies to formulate key provisions of industrial policy and to determine priorities in sustainable development of industrial complexes
